Vodou: I don't believe

The Story

Philip Marso should have been celebrating. He'd just married Ellen, the love of his life. But on their wedding night, two things happened that would lead to tragedy: Philip learned his estranged father in Haiti had died, and the dreams began.

Night after night, Philip experienced vivid visions of Haiti—a country he barely remembered since his mother escaped when he was young. He saw his father's face, heard voices in Creole, felt an overwhelming pull to return. The dreams were so intense, so insistent, that Philip became convinced his father was calling him home.

With Ellen's support and their friend David documenting the journey, Philip traveled to rural Haiti in April 2015 to search for answers about his father and his heritage.

What Happened

Between April 15-22, 2015, the crew captured raw footage of Philip's quest. On the seventh night, locals invited them to witness a Vodou ceremony—an honor rarely extended to outsiders. They said it would help Philip connect with his father's spirit.

Philip Marso and three others lost their lives that night. Their bodies have never been recovered. Only Ellen survived.

The Footage

For years, Ellen kept the footage hidden, unable to face the trauma. Eventually, she began sharing fragments on Facebook, desperate for answers. Her posts went viral, generating over 2 million views from people transfixed by what the cameras captured.

Now, triBBBal Studios is presenting the complete, unedited footage—seven days of raw documentation showing an authentic encounter with Haitian Vodou's most powerful and dangerous elements.

This is not Hollywood horror. This is not fabricated. What you'll witness is real people engaging with a living spiritual tradition—and what happened when they encountered forces that even practitioners approach with caution.

The Question

Were Philip's dreams a supernatural calling? What did the cameras capture on that seventh night? And most importantly: Do you believe?
